While staying in Nepal for a Design Abroad course, I found myself constantly using my wooden fan to help with the heat. I shared it with the other students and brought it everywhere. To commemorate my time in Nepal, I decided to handcraft and design my own set of themed fans.
Handcrafting Process
Each fan is dedicated to one memory of the trip I wished to bring home with me.
The first fan is dedicated to the bracelets I brought back as souvenirs and all of the conversations I had with the people who made them about their craft and goals for the future.
The second fan is dedicated to the colourfully painted vehicles that reminded me of the jeepneys back home in the Philippines which I made me miss it even more during my stay in Nepal.
The third fan is dedicated to the family-owned inn we stayed at and to the staff and families there that made it feel like our second home.
